It seems Roger McGuinn had his 1970 370/12Byrd's peghead slots routed totally thru sometime in the early 70's; there are pics that date from the early-mid 70's that show the guitar with slots all the way through. I am wondering if Rickenbacker did the work, or McGuinn just did it himself...
