I think Ilan nailed it where he says it,s just a classic combination and I,m sure that RIC could keep a white white for a very long time now. That finish on my bass is over 35 years old.

I agree white/white is about the classiest finish going. But obviously not many people agreed because they must have been available for as long as White was, which was for a period of years and they are very rare. I've seen 75 white/black 4001's and I had an 83, so that's at least 8 years. You see white/black quite often, how often do you see white/white? Same with black/black, very rare.
