1999 660/12 FG
Lightweight '99 at only 7lbs 5oz. Gorgeous look and gorgeous, rich sound. Thanks to Wayne at Midwest Buy and Sell in Chicago. The Fireglow 660/12s are harder to find unless you want to pay $$$$ for a Tom Petty, so I was delighted to find this one in the $2k range. Nice straight neck and everything works.
I use Ernie Ball 8s on all my Ric 12s and they play like a dream (and the necks don't bow or warp ). The big Rogan knob is a Master Volume and what is normally the Bridge Tone is now a Master Tone.
Most of the newer 620s and 660s I've seen have a laminated 2-piece neck-through-body. It's a little hard to see, but she has a 1-piece neck-through. Cool!

Pretty sure I used to own that one in the mid 00s, and bought from another long time forumite. Great guitar, congrats! You have a rare "Petty overrun."

The sn is 9925910 and it seems it was never entered into the registry 'til now.
This one's a "keeper". I'm fortunate and grateful to be in a position to hang on to guitars now. That certainly wasn't the case when I was younger. Are you in the Chicago area?
Re: NGD #2
No, but if its my old one, I sold it to a friend in Florida around 2006, and he sold it to CME a couple years ago.

Do you recall this in the Control Cav? It's not anything I've seen before in a Ric cavity.jdogric12 wrote:No, but if its my old one, I sold it to a friend in Florida around 2006, and he sold it to CME a couple years ago.

I have not seen one quite like that one, before.

Maybe I am just used to seeing vintage Ricks, but that control cavity looks like this:jdogric12 wrote:Whats so unusual?
