John Hall 4001C64 in BlueBurst!

I don't think RIC can replicate the Magical Mystery Tour bass. I heard that McCartney actually coptrighted that LSD induced burst of creativity.
I always found it funny that he copyrighted the paint job, but around the same time failed to buy the publishing rights from Brian Epstein's brother after Brian died. As we all know Clive Epstein sold the rights to Sir Lew Grade, chairman of EMI. We certainly all know what happened after that.
By the way...no blueurst for the 4001C64 would be my vote.

I think that is exactly right Ken. I don't think bad wood would get the blueburst treatment.

Ken - as has been mentioned previously in this thread, the jetglo C64's are probably the result of less than perfect wood. Eventhough Paul's bass was never jetglo, RIC isn't going to chuck a C64 bass in the dumpster just because it can't be finished maplego or fireglo. We'll probably even see a few jetglo 360/12 C63's (when they're released), for the same reason.

Since we're talking about Paul M. here, I just saw a video on classic VH1 called "Helen Wheels", Paul was playing his shaved down Rick with what appears to be a big blue butterfly sticker on the front of the body just below where his arm rests.??? I dunnno, just never seen that version of his Rick before. Not much of a Paul fan, just thought it was noteworthy.
