Removing strings

Post by marcinkus »

I am a bit afraid to take all my strings off my 4003 bass. I have to work on the pickup and the electronics and the only way to do it is remove all the strings... I know it could be dangerous for the neck, so how I should behave? Thanx

It is NOT dangerous to do this .I do it to every bass that Rick made that I work on .

You have a new style truss rod system and it is the same as a Fender or Gibson .

Only the basses that were made before 1984 are troublesome and they are not that hard to deal with .After all this time they have settled into a 'groove'.

Go for it ...I promise you will be alright.
So you too want yours "ALAPWOB"?!?!
