Wow...I'm not that pedantic, tbh....but what I will add is that on point 2 above: it can't have been working THAT well otherwise they would have continued the partnership / dealership / whatever....? :-)
Clarifying facts does not make one pedantic... and there were certainly a lot of facts to clarify in your previous post.

Speculating on subjects that you clearly know little about is foolish.

It does to a lot of people. I'm a stickler for facts, myself.
I also think that words have meanings, and those meanings should be respected.
I get called pedantic a lot!

Yeah, if fact do not get clarified/corrected, it eventually does becomes "fact", I get beat upon, myself, for trying to set records straight.

Point taken! :-)

Separating the facts from the speculation is part of the fun!

(and the facts themselves in this case are fairly confusing.)

Still, I stand by my original point, and in 20 years time, people will be arguing over a pic of a 4005XC, for sure! :D

People will be saying its a 3xxx...others will say its a fake....

the facts people will chime in and say "Its actually a 90th Anniversary 4005XC limited edition!"

THEN, someone will ask exactly the same question I have asked....!! lol!

Round and round we go.....don't you love the internet?

But leaving this behind for a while...I wonder if there will be any more "XC" anniversary releases this year...?

Maybe a 4001XC.....? 8)

Sorry, I just got here.

I’d very much like a 4005XC FG, please.

Thank you.

Sorry Joey, but I've played it.

It's short scale. 30.5"
Eric B told me it was long scale. I had seen the prototype several times, which was short scale, but I thought it was possible that there was a design change after he told me that.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

I am so far under the impression that they are going to make as many as they get pre-order for during a limited time period which still is not ended. But I am not sure that that information is accurate.

Does anyone know the last time Rickenbacker produced a bass with a pair of toasters?

Produced, as in, a series of a model?

Yes, as opposed to a one-off. Was it the old 4005?

Yes, IIRC the 4005 series was the last that used toasters in both positions.
