Grover Titans and Wavy Grovers…

Hi all, are Grover Titans a direct drop in for Wavy Grovers or would the holes need work?

Thanks Kevin. I thought that might be the case. Just out of interest, do you know if the Titans are heavier? I always imagined they would be.

The Grover Titans are totally different than the Slimline tuning keys; there is no compatibility whatsoever.

I would respectfully suggest Hipshot Ultralite tuners, if weight is an issue. Measure your width and depth of tuner holes and they will send you custom bushings for free.

Sorry guys, been otherwise engaged (have some long-term health issues). To anyone who was worried, I’m not taking the Grovers out of my vintage basses. I have another bass that has them fitted that I’d been thinking of selling, and because of the value of the tuners I’d thought about replacing them prior to selling the bass. We’ll see.

I was a big fan of the Flat Grovers, but all my old Ricks have gone down the road. My V63 is next in-line to go.

I love the flat Grovers on my favourite bass. The wavys on my other basses are fine, but for some reason the flat Grovers seem a little more consistent.

I rarely play bass anymore. No gigging and just a little bit at home. I have an old P-bass beside the bed that covers that duty.
Mostly play an acoustic these days.
