I'm curious if there are any other IG polls in the works. Would love to see one on the neck width of 12-stringers!RIC_FACTORY wrote: Tue May 23, 2023 4:14 pm Historical accuracy was not the goal. We saw a big demand for this change and did it. Even put up an IG poll at the end of last year and 21 frets won decisively. Something like 84% supported the move. Anyone that has felt this neck profile has really dug it. You might not, but at least there are plenty of 24 fretters out there if you're in the market.

Played one unplugged last weekend and really liked the feel of the neck. Aesthetically I prefer the look of the 21 fret neck on the 12 string, but would not say the same about the six, possibly because I am so used to my 6 string at 24.
Also played a 480XC for the first time and was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it.

That market has already been catered to with the 660/12 and 1993Plus models.skelt101 wrote: Wed May 31, 2023 7:37 pmI'm curious if there are any other IG polls in the works. Changing the neck width on all 12-string models would be a mistake. Most people are quite happy with the normal 1-5/8" width (myself included).

Re: 300 series return to 21 frets
Has anyone else with one of these run into finish issues? I bought a 330 a few months ago, and its finish is very, very fragile. Much more so than the other ricks I've owned. Removing the truss rod cover took off a chunk (thankfully hidden under the cover), and I'm getting finish checking around the base of the neck heel already. With all the recent changes back and forth (fretboard finish on, fretboard finish off, 21 fret, etc) I'm wondering if the finish formula also changed.
