None. Bubinga was for a time but that was lifted. We don't use Brazilian rosewood.

Yep. It's a nice thing about Rickenbackers.
Re: RIC Wood Sourcing
RIC_FACTORY should experiment with attempting to grow Santa Ana Rosewood.
Re: RIC Wood Sourcing
That would be cool but Orange County land is a bit pricey for a tree farm I think.K9-4026 wrote: Sun Jun 11, 2023 12:39 pm RIC_FACTORY should experiment with attempting to grow Santa Ana Rosewood.
Re: RIC Wood Sourcing
I have 50 acres in Pennsylvania we could experiment with.
Of course, I'd have to cut down all the hard maple, black cherry, walnut and hickory first.

PA is way too cold for rosewood. You need to be in zone 10 at least.

email The Halls and ask if that hard maple qualifies.

Re: RIC Wood Sourcing
This should be very comparable ( exactly the same) to the maple they use.

Don't you want to make all those butcher block countertops and island for your kitchen?teeder wrote: Wed Jun 21, 2023 8:39 am This should be very comparable ( exactly the same) to the maple they use.
Re: RIC Wood Sourcing
Like the two stashes I have (flat and rift sawn red oak, and quarter sawn white oak)?
