Cleaning and Lubing the Tuners - 330/620

I have finally taken my 330 (1979) and 620 (1981) out of storage after about 15 years. Amazingly, the intonation was intact, and even the tuning was nearly spot on, but the metal parts on the guitar need some polishing and the tuners are a bit tight.

What are the best recommendations for cleaning the metal and lubing the tuners? I know what other people say for other guitars, but Rickenbackers are NOT other guitars, so I want to make sure I get it right.
