Rickenbacker screw?
I noticed Rickenbacker doesn’t use this style screw anymore. I’m trying to locate a dozen or so. Any ideas?
Re: Rickenbacker screw?
Exactly where / what purpose is this particular screw used?
Here’s a link to a recent discussion about screws. Your screw was not the focus, but you might find some useful info within the discussion.

Re: Rickenbacker screw?
These are the screws for the truss rod cover and the jack plate.
Re: Rickenbacker screw?
Also used on the bridge pickup surround.

Here's a link to another thread, one in which I did not fare well in:

Here is one of my screw references / links extracted from that thread. I thought it looks like the type you're interested in:

Re: Rickenbacker screw?
I did a search using the descriptive nomenclature of the last line I posted ("Rickenbacker Part 05200 - Screw Tap 3 x 3/8 RD PH") and came up with a few sources, although most are located in the UK and one or two in Germany. All charge outrageous shipping fees, although it's possible that they would send as many as you wanted to purchase as a combined shipping fee.
The rosetti.uk... I don't understand how that works. ( https://www.rosetti.co.uk/dealer-locator/ ) (none in USA)
While not inexpensive, this site looks the "cheapest" if they shipped for a single combined fee; only $2.28 per screw and $14.81 shipping, which is a good deal (relatively speaking) if they would ship all screws purchased for that single shipping fee; you'd have to contact them (or any supplier overseas) and ask:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/326274690816 (you may have to translate to English....)
You'd think you'd be able to buy these in the US. Note the "Additional Information" that rosetti.uk provides:
SKU 5005200
Country of Manufacture United States
Manufacturer Rickenbacker
Barcode 0655171052008
Pretty crazy, isn't it? So maybe RIC did have these manufactured for them at one time, and what we see for sale is NOS...? All the Reverb links and Amazon links are for one of these overseas suppliers.
My first overseas choice would have been Rickysounds, but their photo of the 05200 is not the same as everyone else's -- they show a rounded Philips head screw (maybe the current replacement). Yes, the nomenclature "...3-x-3-8-rd-ph..." seems to me to be a Philips head description, and the only reason why all search results do not include only a Philips head type is because of the RIC part number. (There must be a USA, generic description of the 05200 screw....)

PS - Here's the link to a Google Image Search; nothing new that I can see:

Re: Rickenbacker screw?
US ebay page for that “cheap” screw from Germany:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/326274921962
…The screw doesn’t look all that refined / finished in the photo there…..

Here’s a good one, but no shipping fee is provided, although the nice thing about buying from ebay is that you can easily "contact (the) seller" to ask a question:

I'd also verify that the shape of the screw / screw head shown in the photo will be the exact same as purchased.... You don't want the one Rickysounds is selling.

Re: Rickenbacker screw?
Yeah, I’ll ask him if he can send me an actual picture of the screw I’ll get but this seems like an all right option still pretty expensive but we’ll see what he sends me. But I agree. A lot of people are using the old stock photo of the screw but stocking the new style.maxwell wrote: Thu Apr 17, 2025 4:51 pm US ebay page for that “cheap” screw from Germany:
