660/12 case

Post by Mike P »

I have a 660/12 and it came with a vintage case.
The vintage case won't hold the guitar. The guitar bounces around the case.
I had to add multiple pads to keep the guitar snug.
Is there a molded 660 case available?
I wrote Rickenbacker and they refereed me to Sweetwater with a link, but the link was for a 330/360 case.
Are all cases the same?
Where can I buy a 660 case?
Thank you.

The standard 620 case is perfect for the 660.

What year is it? If it is late 90s, it could be a Petty overrun. Probably not especially valuable but kind of neat.

Has anyone used a Winfield guitar case?
It looks vintage with the fit of a modern case. It’s also $100 less.
Thank you,
Mike

Jason,
It is for a Tom Petty 660/12.
It's pretty to look at but not much of a protector.
i made a couple of foam supports for it covered in real nice crushed blue velvet

Go for the Winfield case. A TP model deserves a better case if you are unsatisfied with the silver case.
