Rick Carl Wilson 6 String

Post by liarglow »

Guys,
Old lurker and information gatherer to the forum and recently reinstated.
Glad to be here once again.

Anyone out there know of a 360/CW for sale?
Itching to get my hands on one. They don’t come up for sale often.
Looking for a CLEAN specimen.
Cheers

Just keep a look-out for them, as they pop up every now and then ... I know this because I keep looking for my stolen one (a 360CW 6-string in Jetglo). 8)

Hey, thanks for the encouragement, I’m committed so I know there is one out there with my name on it.
Is it true what they say about this celebrity model being closest to the original vintage 360’s?
I read the guitar has light bracing that contributes to its excellent tone!

You can post here, too: viewforum.php?f=12

This is in the Rickenbacker Marketplace, whose link is on the main forum menu page (two down from where you are) and is only visible when you have signed in (so it's easily overlooked).

It’s also been said that the tops on the 360CW are thinner than those on modern Rickenbackers at the time (late 90s early 2000s). Good luck in your search. Great guitars.

Yes, although I think if youre going to spend the 3K on a CW 6er, might as well spend 4 and get the 60s one it sounds like you really want :)

Agreed! You can easily find a vintage 365 or 360/6 for about $4K. I played a buddy’s 1965 model this past weekend and he paid exactly 4K! My 360/6 CW came with the R tailpiece but I would like to put on an accent vibrola.

I'll likely put my player-quality 1966 365 FG up for sale once I get it up and running. It has a previously repaired neck (with not-so-great-looking neck area refin) but it should be a really good player ... and it will be at a price adjusted for what it is. 8)

Almost there, just need to do a full set-up on it now. 8)
