I have loved the 12 string and Rick sound since way back in the 60s (I am 75 and grew up in the SF area so had lots of exposure to live shows).
But every time I almost bought one I heard of so many people loving them except for the necks. So I resisted. Until I found out about the 1993Plus. Mine arrived today:

I have really been enjoying getting to know this guitar. It's uhhhh.... different, but the sound is like the heavens opened and the angels are singing.

Re: NRD For Me!
I changed the strap buttons. I was going to try to use the stock ones with Grolsch / Fender washers as I do on my other guitars, but the 1993Plus has "vintage" strap buttons, not Schaller compatible, and with such a design that they pop the rubber washers right off.
I replaced the stock buttons with a set of the current generation Schaller S-Locks. Had to do the glue & toothpicks thing... who but Ric puts a machine thread strap button directly into wood?
So the Schaller buttons are on.
This guitar was purchased new, kind of NOS... S/N indicates it was built May of 2024. Wondering about the strings... do the stock Ric strings have all silver ball ends? I suppose these are the stock strings, the guitar does not seem to have been played at all. I have two sets of the highly recommended Curt Mangan strings sitting here, but the strings that are on it sound great. I am thinking don't fix it if it ain't broke.
