It was very slow all day until just now. Is it weather related, somehow? :?

Yes. It rained DDOS attacks coming from China.
God knows why would anyone try to take rickresource down. I never thought I'd need to handle it but countermeasures deployed and we are back online :)
So long and thanks for all the fish!

Maybe it's because we constantly complain about counterfeits, some of which come from China?

(BTW, I think that Google claims that it does not promote counterfeits ... :? )

Thanks for the fish very much, Gil! :D I was away for a few days so this is the first time I've checked out in all week, but it seems nice and fast like it usually is.

It seems that of late i have had to log in multiple times when going from page to page (I don't use the "remember me" option). Just an observation, no criticism intended.

As an example, just now when I went to Submit this post, I got the log in screen. But once logged in, I could go back two pages, hit Submit, and the submission went through. Weird.

Wouldn't it just be easier to stay logged in?

This could be related to our recent (few months) migration to cloudflare.
I did some changes, can you please lmk if it still happens?
If it does - can you try opening an incognito window, login there and stroll around to see if it still happens? Thanks
So long and thanks for all the fish!

Sorry for the delayed response ... the logins now "hold", I haven't had to re-log in since the "tweaking". Thanks, Gil! 8)

The spamming has reached criminal proportions ...

That's just the first page ... there is another full page and about a half of another.

If there is a way to determine this a****e's ISP, I would send an invoice to THEM to charge them for costs associated with cleaning up the Forum and for allowing this moron to use their system to do such webpage abuse.

I will use the Report link on one of these to notify the Admins that this **** is continuing. :(

I've reset the password of all the users who haven't logged in since 2022, hopefully this would make it harder for the spammers (at least very old accounts will be useless for them)
