I had a hard time figuring out what category to put this in, but this one appeared to fit best.
As a chemist, I am a member of the American Chemical Society, and its magazine, Chemical & Engineering News, doesn't often have articles that bridge the gap between chemistry and music. Recently, it did with an article on picks.
I know that there are other materials for picks not covered by the article, but it did make think of some experiments to prove/disprove some of the concepts presented.
