Gold TRC???

Post by scottpro1969 »

This may be an old question but, does anyone know if Rickenbacker swap a white 4003 truss rod cover for a gold one? I know they will for a black one but... I'm itching for a gold TRC and pickguard for my Monty Brown. That would look awesome, IMHO.

RIC sold me one a few years ago. I called the sales rep and explained that I have purchased several brand new guitars and basses and that I would like a little help with customizing a bass. After reading me the riot act on copyright infringements and after assuring him that I have respect for Rickenbacker, he allowed me to purchase the TRC through a local dealer.

I've never liked the look of the black TRC with gold lettering on the 4004CII's, (but then again I'm not a fan of black trim anyways). Scott - your CII would look great with a gold TRC with black lettering (like on the Lemmy 4004LK). If anyone contacts RIC about a swap, let us know if it's a possibility.

Scott? Your Cii hasn't got a Goldleaf TRC..?

Odd, mine has. Might have something to do with the fact that mine features Walnut, and is younger.

The one I have is black with gold lettering which is nice, but I'd like one like this.
