Hey Michael-

I don't know if RIC changed the color offerings for the Laredo for 2005, but the website now says:

"Like the model 4004C Cheyenne, this stylishly sleek bass incorporates a new low loss circuit which, coupled with Rickenbacker's latest high output humbucking pickups, delivers a distinctively loud and clear sound. The sculpted body shape and extra body contouring of the 4004 models are highlighted by a rich finish with contrasting all-chrome plated parts.

Available in standard Rickenbacker colors as well as translucent Green, Red, and Blue, all with a rich gloss clear coat."

Quite confusing, indeed. The color chart on the website indicates the tranny colors are for 4004Cii only. But on the models page, it says the Laredo is an "updated model". Perhaps the colors have been updated. Back in November, I e-mailed RIC with the question, and they indicated no tranny colors on the 4004L. But maybe it's a new thing for '05. If anyone else has definitive info, I'd like to know....

The Laredo does not have the Maple/Walnut/Maple body laminations that the Cheyenne has.
