Which finish is this Ricky?

Post by mikeselmer »

Hello all. Here are a couple of shot from a DVD by the Danish pop/rock singer Tim Christensen (he's great, check him out if you can). He's got a nice white 480, but which white is it? What's the name of this white in the Ricky world? The last photo shows the finish in a blue light. It needs to be mentioned that in the first two images the image capturing made the guitar look a tad too brown. Thanks!

It looks like a white that has yellowed a little bit Image Very much the norm with White Ric finishes.

Chris, I'm out of vocab...by 'nilla-glo you mean the normal Rickenbacker white that has yellowed?

Plain o white, after time they turn yellow and if you played a lot of bars before the smoking ban B.S. it turned yellow faster. IT"S WHITE. My Strat pickguard turned yellow just from the nicotine in the air and I can't get it out.
