I'll try to post some pics later on.
There was at least one Tenor Guitar made by Rickenbacker as a custom order in 1961 based on a 3/4 sized tulip-body Combo model...Fireglo finish.
Tenor Guitars only have 4 strings, usually tuned CDGA; there are quite a few other alternate tunings, like a tenor banjo or an octave mandolin.

Thanks for the info. If I get the guitar, I'll go with an aluminum one that I'll make in my shop.

To my knowledge, neither of these instruments had a model number because they were both custom orders. The Tenor Guitar shares the most features with a model 950; And if there would have been a model number assigned to the Mando Guitar by Rickenbacker, maybe it would have been 6008(?)
A Banjoline is a 6006, and this is like a Banjoline but with 8 strings.

Oh so the one on the left is the Tonor Guitar?
I meant the Mando Guitar in my post then...
I reall have no knowledge of those instruments. Generally what kind of music is recorded with these? (not that there's any limit to what you can do with it probably)
I recall seeing a slightly different model on eBay, I still have the pictures somewhere on my computer if you guys want me to post it I'll shrink them and have them up.
