4001c64 with Right-Handed Headstock?

Post by ataritoobin »

Hello!

Sorry if this has been asked before, but is it possible to order a 4001c64 with a right-handed headstock rather than the standard reversed headstock? Or would I have to settle with a used 4001v63?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

You should start looking for a good used 4001v63. Hope that answers your question.
Good luck

"Or would I have to settle with a used 4001v63? "

I'm not sure I would use the word "settle".
My v63 is a WONDERFUL instrument - Even if Ric came out with a c64 with a non-reversed headstock, I wouldn't get rid of the v63. I'd just buy the c64 so they could both talk to each other when I wasn't around... Now, where did I put that beer.....

Mike Parks has tried to get several combinations on a C64. So far we've tried fretless, Montezuma Brown & Blue Boy Finishes and received the just say no answer.
It appears these shall remain as FG, MG and the S options only.

The left-handed C64 has a right-handed headstock.
...or would this defeat your purpose? Image

I thought Mike Parks also managed to successfully order a Jetglo model too. Was that a special order, or a factory second, or preproduction sample, or what?

You ocassionally see Jetglo instruments in certain lines where Jetglo isn't a colour option. From what I understand, Jetglo is used to cover finish flaws in the wood.

I have seen and held Jetglo versions of both C Basses.

That is a really nice looking bass, the "bassplayer" isn't too bad either.
