How about this:

The John Hall Signature Series Rickenbacker...

In a brand new model / new design. (With toasters - of course - number of pups, colors, etc. yet to be determined) Available in 6 or 12 string, and bass model.

Nashville toasters?

Man - that really hurt...

Ok - California Toasters - in honor of RIC being in California.

Why not make a Jetglo 4 slice toaster and put gold Rickenbacker TRCs on each side?

I believe there was a John Hall Signature Guitar, it was called the 490 and had interchangable pickups and electronics mounted to a removable pickguard.

'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

Well, I'm with Michael on that original post. I think Ric's "modern" guitars are great, and I look forward to seeing whatever might be currently brewing in the R&D department. Somehow, though, I don't think it will involve toasters as standard issue. The Ric-buckers have adorned every new model electric guitar that's been issued lately.

Care to share any insights on the future, Mr. Hall?

Thanks John...

I wanna buy a new RIC in the next few months and I see a new John Hall Signature Series in my dreams. (With toasters)
If not, I'm gonna throw a tantrum... and I'll squall until I get my way.

How about it Mr. Hall? What better way to kick off 2005?

Michael, in the interim, how about this: a 650C in Mapleglo with toasters and high-performance vibrato? All of the Mapleglo 650C's I've seen have looked great. Toasters would really complement the chrome pick-guard and the VH option would really cap the whole thing off. I don't know if such a thing is possible. In my own mind, I can see clearance issues with the VH cavity (in the back of the guitar), the vintage pick-ups, and the low neck profile, but if such a thing were possible, it'd be fabulous. Even if the VP's are impossible, a 650C MG VH is a real gem.

Oooooooooo... there's an idea!
But I was think'n more on the semi-hollow body concept. I've never seen the "C" in MG - thought the 650C's were all JetGlo?? Are you thinking of the 620?

No, the Colorado is available in standard Ric finishes (including the colour of the year). If you go to GBase (http://www.gbase.com), you can sometimes find a picture of a 650C MG. They always look good.
