By the way this is a six string 660, I see reference made to it being a 12 string.. Just F.Y.I.

John, you opened yourself up with that comment!

How about a Fantasy 430???
Hey - it could happen!
Afterall, it is the ultimate in a "gig'n" axe. Solid enough to beat off obnoxious bar patrons who demand you play "Stand By Your Man", and still sound great on the next set...

And it's a bolt-on neck, which I hasten to point out, in case you might think I'm a set-neck snob...

Lyle Lovett does THE reference version of SBYM, BTW, on Road to Ensenada. Choice. Lyle has ultimate class. How'd he ever get mixed up with that muffin Julia Whatshername?

Nashville? I guess they've adopted Lyle 'cause he's 100% cash cow. But thank gosh he does his own thang.

Yeah - even though the whole country thang is downsizing, Rock-a-billy is big there in the clubs. And, probably a lot more recorded there than most people realize.
If he goes Bluegrass - now that'd be sumthin'
I can just see Lyle, Ricky Scaggs and Allison on stage together...
What's big in yor neck-o-th-woods??

Well, I follow a bit of everything. Quality stuff I take seriously, but trash and sonic wallpaper slips by. No Celine Dion or J-LO in my rack, but one or two PDiddy made it there, BIN. Most of what's on MTV I can do without. Love old blues; knew Muddy for awhile before he hooked up with JWinters. I'm from Chicago orig.

I'm a big Wayne Hancock fan, also Big Sandy, Rev Horton Heat, Mike Ness. But that's just my roots stuff. I listen to and try to play a bit of everthin'

I grew up with the Beatles, Chicago (Transit Authority) 3 Dog Night, The Doors, Joplin, Hendrix - probably just like you.
I still hang on to the big band / jazz stuff - Harry Connic, Jr. - but hard to play 'cause I'm not a jazz player. It's like country music - I just ain't got the twang in me for it!! My real dream was to sit in the background of a dinner club orchestra and chop cool diminished and augmented chords for a living - then sleep all day!
Most of my rack is Contemporary Christian and Gospel 'cause that's what I write - got to keep up with the competition.

You actually knew Muddy - THE Muddy Waters??
