Oh Paul, and I thought I'd be the first here to have two 4004/5Cii basses!!! LOL

I knew that it would be sold quickly to someone here.
Congrats and enjoy it! Image

Paul, tell me about your 4003s/5.
If you think all is going well, you've obviously overlooked something.

That's a pretty one Paul. Take some more pics of it when it arrives.

Chris at POTR takes some nice pics of his inventory.

Ron, you have mail....

Joey, I would have preferred the color of your CII. Really gorgeous.

How doe's the 4004cii five'r sound? And how is the action on one. I like low action on a bass and the sound associated with that. I have a 4003s/5 and love it. Anyone here made a recording with one yet? Any mp3 samples?

Hmmm... I would have to think about that after seeing some pics of it. Since my 4004/5Cii is the first and only mapleglo Rick I've ever had, I've grown quite fond of it.
My problem is I want every Rick bass model made in every almost every finsh available. LOL Image

Landon, the action on the 4004/5Cii is low. The factory neck and string height set up were perfect on mine. I didn't have to readjust the neck or string height at all. Usually I have to set up a bass to my liking whether I buy it new or used.
The sound of a 4004/5Cii is like this, you've moved the bridge pickup position on your 4003 to a J*zz bass like position for more growl and a ghost came along and tweaked the bass control up a little on your amp and the volume control up a couple of notches.
