I almost turned my 2020 into an 8 string bass ... but I went 5 string instead ... actually I can convert a 4003, 4004, or a 2020 into an 8 string ... I have worked out all of the details ... I just haven't done it yet ...

I think the 4004 series would make an excellent choice for the 8-string.

Anybody else here rooting for a 4004/6 CII? That would be killer.
