By "Cherry Red" I take that as Red, a color available in 1996, and not Burgundy, a color not available in 1996.
I agree that the fellow needs to be part of the Forum.
Maybe coming into some Rics

So, just to follow up, I did check out the collection and it was pretty cool.
Here's what I saw:
4 - v63's - two mapleglo,1 fg and 1 jetglo
1 - 4001cs
1 - 4003 Burgandy
1 - 4003 red
and 2 - 4003s8's in Desert Gold
It seemed like he only wanted to sell 2 v63's - one fireglo, and one MG. I AB'd all the basses against my 4001 project, and really liked mine the best.
Since he didn't have a particular price in mind, combined with the fact that I think the guy's a decent person and didn't want to lowball and/or offend, I left without a purchase.
The thing I found most interesting was his love for the Rickenbacker design and colors along with the fact that he was an incredible artist.
I also got to see some Squire video that I've never seen along with a Pink Floyd video in the studio with Rickenbacker so, the night was not a total waste.

" It's not where you are, it's who you're with.".
