Come on- make us all jealous and let us know where you picked em up!
And when was the last time you saw one for sale?

Tell me does it feel the same when you've set upon a change but your heart's in the old times?
From Hoboken Vintage. It was listed on eBay. I thought it was priced way too high so I sent Jim a note with an offer just in case it didn't sell. It didn't sell and I got it for $100.00 more than I'd offered him (plus shipping).
Last one I saw for sale was one that someone here in the forum pointed out at about $5,000.00 at some store in the states.

Voltage Guitars, Hollywood, nov 1992, during a holiday in the States.... they had two '67MG 4005... the one I purchased and a WB one... I went for the new style body one...I don't particularly like the WB...
before that I'd looked for a 4005 for almost a couple of years (unfortunately there was no internet and online stores) finding just another one in a shop somewhere in the USA writing a mail...they sent me a picture...mint conditions, dark Fireglo, 1967, WB... "only" 4.200USD in 1992!...I thought they were crazy...
I haven't seen personally any other 4005 .. but I am not surprised since they are so rare in Europe..maybe I am the only lucky guy here in Italy. When I am on stage other musicians usually stare at my 4005 wondering what the hell I am playing

After putting out wanted ads on every guitar website known to man, Gary's Classic Guitars answered my need and is now holding the mortgage on my first one, a '67/FG...
My '67 4005/WB FG was purchased privately just last weekend from a fellow in Ohio. He was only it's second owner and had it refinished twice...It currently has a 1 year old "newer" fireglo finish, which is fabulous!! The purchase price of this one sort of eased the pain of my earlier purchase....
I know the pics have been beaten to death, but for those few who haven't seen them yet.....

$5400.00
They know they are very hard to find.....
Even if they are using the new Vintage Guitar Guide, they are out of line on a '74....BUT, I guess it depends on what it's worth to the BUYER....I WAY overpaid on my first one, but I've got it and I'm happy(the wife isn't) and I'll play it till either I or the 4005 wear out!! ..
