All parts original, eh? Definitely, but not to that 4000. I'm talking about the bridge. And the handrest, of course. Unless it's the jackplate that's not original to the bass. Sorry to be such a party spoiler.

If it was a little cheaper I'd probably snag it and add the neck pickup so I'd have a usable, nice 4001s clone. (No flames please

Mine was done that way and it compromised the neck (set neck model 73)....I think it's cool..

Robbie pointed out that it does not have a set neck. I have seen a few thru-neck 4000's. Comments?

No set-neck 4000/1s existed back in 72, no...?

Set-necking on basses was a late 70s thing, say 75-76. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Sixties versions were neck thru, I'm not sure when they stopped....

You could be right Mark. I don't know when the set neck appeared for sure. I thought it was around '72 but I could be wrong.

72-73 is when the set neck started..my 4000 is a feb 73...
