Hi-Gain Toasters?

Post by marcinkus »

Yesterday I was looking at Rhoads Music site and I found this:
a. NEW 7.4k ohm Reissue toaster pickups - $90.00/each
b. NEW higher output toaster pickups, now out of production - $125.00/each 4 in stock

What? I'm DAZED and CONFUSED! :-D

Supply and Demand...

When a product has been discontinued such as the the pre-Scatterwound 7.4k ohm pickups, the price may be increased because of the rarity value; i.e., you can no longer get these new.

Sometimes, dicontinuations of a product lead to a decrease in price because the vendor wants to get rid of the product.

I suppose it depends on the outlook of the vendor...
