350v63 12 String
I'm just wondering what the full scale 350v63 12 string plays like? I have never seen one before and I wonder if Rickenbacker makes many of them? Does the neck profile compare more to the 330, 360, 620 or 660 series 12s? I love the look of the 325/350s. Anyone have any opinions out there?
"This is the big one, Elizabeth, I'm coming to join ya, honey!"
Goodness knows, I'm no great lover of Guitar Center, but I'm always puzzled by comments of this nature. Do you think that Guitar Center gets all the 'bad' ones, or is there some malicious employee there that sneaks around with hex wrenches and a screwdriver undoing factory setups?
Seriously, this concerns me. I'm going to be buying a 650D quite soon, and most likely buy it by mail order, as the chances of finding one in a store are slim. If I accept the premise that guitars leave the Rickenbacker factory in a playable form, should I have to worry about which authorized Rickebacker dealer I choose to buy it from?

I bought a Rick bass from Mike Parks a few years ago, and it arrived in VERY playable condition, despite the fact that it traveled all the way across the country and then half way back!
I think Guitar Center just puts them in the back of an un-air conditioned building for a month before display, then they hang them up on the wall. But to get back to the topic here, does anyone know how the necks of the 350/12 compare?
Are they thinner, like the 330/12 and 360/12 or are they more like the 620/660 series?

Might I state that I played one once at the Great House of Guitars and it was perfectly intonated up and down the neck. Maybe they set it up before, but a great instrument at a great price. If only I could take them all home!
"Here he is, come to pay homage to the Rickenbacker display!" (Said to me by owner Bruce at the "Great House of Guitars" in Rochester, NY)
