Schaller Tuners

Post by bill_yantz »

Ok, I admit, I don't like the looks of the Schaller tuners. But I am pleasantly surprised to find out that these are excellent tuners in performance and tuning stability. With that said have any of you changed out the buttons for a more vintage look? And if so, where did you get them?
I don't like the straight cut on the sides and I want a more rounded look, like the vintage style.

Are the Schaller buttoms hollow? I wonder if the shape could altered slightly without screwing it up. Anyone ever try this?

Thanks.

You can buy different buttons for them. Pearl & ebony are available from Stew Mac.
