Two of you are SO close.
Here's another clue.
The worst part is that I won't be able to confirm it until publication date, even if you get it dead on!

Rickenbacker using cafe patrons to ship instruments to European cafes?
Rickenbacker 12-string to chime as new Apple computers start up?
Rickenbacker buys controlling interest in Apple Music catalog thus getting a huge windfall settlement from Apple Computers?
Hopefully this doesn't have anything to do with that cresting wave that hit Thailand a while back...
(I apologize in advance for that last one...)

Ricks, computers, cappucino, scooters, and a mysterious man in an upstairs window.
A good basis for a Macca song. It could rival "Uncle Albert" for confused images.

“I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did.”

In a previous discussion about a RIC custom shop, JH did say they had worked out a system, but it was never implemented. Maybe it's time. Some sort of Oracle-based system perhaps? How about online ordering? Online tracking of your order? Web cams and voice over IP to help your RIC luthier pick out a nice piece of wood? The mind boggles...

Alembic has a system whereby you can order your bass exactly the way you want it online and then pay retail through them or get it through a dealer who will probably discount it. GM dealers have a similar system too. The build sheet is put on the chassis at the beginning of the line and as it goes down the line, the workers at each of the build stations scans the sheet and adds whatever is required. Any body shape, color, or pickup combination....maybe we could have a 660 bass with humbuckers in blue burst!
