I think that was a Freudian slip, you pessimist!

I made it up to Buffalo Bros. today to check out the C63.
Sorry, not being an expert, I can't a/b with a V64, or discuss the comparative nuances of George's original. I'll try to post some pictures and answer any questions. The photos are large files, so I may need Peter's assistance.

It's beautiful. Nobody should be disappointed. Upon opening the case, my senses were dazzeled.

Compared to a CW:
The coloring is lighter, the finish isn't as glossy, the truss rod cover is carved out more noticeably for string clearance, the neck is a bit wider and more rounded(feels roomy). Acoustically, it's louder than the CW.

The first thing I played was that magic chord...3-5-3-5-3-3,,,wooh, then I had to play it again, did the lead bit, played Dance,Dance,Dance and Warmth of the Sun.
I've only spent about a half hour plugged in, so I'll hold my comments till I play it some more - first impression is incredible, but I'm trying to keep calm.

The thing that really impressed me was it's action and playability. I knew I couldn't just walk away and be haunted by the memory, so I took it home.

Great job J.H. and congrats to Ric again!

BTW, Buffalo Bros. had in stock:
new 4003JG, new 4003FG, new 4003VPMG, new 620VPBlueBoy and a used 450-12FG. That's more than they've had in the past - It's an appropriarte place for Ric. - they should do well there.

Wish I had one but presently need to keep my marriage. The things we have to do.

Tom, thanks for posting the pictures. It's absolutely beautiful.

What I am delighted to see is the darker fret board and whiter inlays. Great contrast. It really looks like a 60s Ric.
