Yeah, yeah I know not a big deal of a guitar, but I am very proud of this mint 1991 360. I am just learning to post pics.Image

A cool color, especially with the white guards and chrome hardware.

I remember when Mike Parks ordered a 360V64 in RED. He called it the "Valentine Special". Maybe back in '97?

Every Ric is a big deal Steve & yours is superb, in a colour that you don't see all THAT often. That is one of the wonders of Rickenbacker, even a bog standard jetglo 330 is an exciting guitar!

I want to see some bigger pictures!

Red and Ruby aren't the same right? I know Ruby has the mettalic undercoat, what about Red?

I really like white guards on a red guitar, my Burgundyglo is no exception Image

It certainly is a big deal, Steve. Every single Ric, whether mint or 'aged' or downright abused is to be relished IMO.

Big pictures would be great.

Lucky you, I say!!

Nice, yet another reason and hint for Rickenbacker to bring back the RED and WHITE or RED and Black!

Simon: I agree, the red and white combination is sharp looking. I especially like the way it seems to accent the fret markers. The Ruby and Burgundyglo with white guards is also a stunning combination. I am not taken, however, with the red with black trim option. My two cents.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

I agree with you Peter, the black trim makes any colour that it's on look a little darker. I do think that black trim looks smart on some colours, but I personaly wouldn't buy it.

Hey, you guys are great...I will post bigger pics when I figure how to do it, standby.
Patrick - Red and Ruby are different. My Red is a non-metallic and more like Fire Engine.

Woah! I love the red with the white pickguard. The folks at Ric really need to consider bringing this "red" hot mama back!!!!

Tony, I have not yet registered on ebay, but I will soon to sell my auto literature.

This thread is blowing me away, I have owned the red 360 since 1992 and many people have come to my home to see my guitar collection. Guitar players always say something like "Hey nice Ric...too bad about the color". Yet, when I have ever played live with it, many non-guitar players come up to say: "Wow! what a beautiful guitar and what a nice color!" I cannot believe how many have come up to verify that "That is like John Lennon's right?" Confusing, as John never played a red anything...never mind a 360. But I know what they mean and say "sure". While I have about 35 guitars at home, I have only one amp - a Fender Ultimate Chorus, so I suspect the Ric is only running on 7 cylinders.

For whatever the reason, I am not seeing the picture now when I am sure I saw it before. Anyway, I always liked the cherry red Rickenbackers. Does anyone know when that color was discontinued?

1999 was the last year for Red, according to the Finish Time Line at Mike Parks' web site:
