That bloomin' couch...(Jwr2)

Post by henny »

Seems one of your old basses is doing the rounds in Sweden, Jeff.

Lifted from the Dudpit Ric Forum:

"I just saw this post and recalled an ad at a swedish trading site. It's from 15'th of Feb but I guess the seller would remove the ad once sold. He wants 9000 swedish crowns (1000 Euro for it). If you are interested and want to mail this seller just click on the Mejla annonsören , then type your name on the first line, your e-mail adress on the second line and finally your inquiry in the box beneath. Finish by clicking on the Skicka button.

That look like a bogus auction ... I sold that bass to a forum member in Illinois ... and as far as I know he still has it ...

The seller is possibly the dumbest person on the planet. He chose to lift a picture of a bass sitting on the single most recognizeable couch in all of Rickendom.

I still have it and while I have visited Sweden I would never sell that bass. I love it way too much. Just finished some eBay auctions to fund my very near future Ric purchases. The bass is here, safe and happy, as is it's new owner.

Nice work Dave. The power of Internet enthusiast forums cannot be denied.

John ... that bass is a player ... the guys in my band are disapointed that I sold it ... it is a good recording and gigging bass ...

I am acquiring a taste for the 2000 series basses ...

The guy from Sweeden emailed me ... he claims to have that basses twin brother and just lifted the picture instead of taking his own ...

Well, now that he's busted, I wouldn't believe him unless he can produce new photos of it. On his own couch.

He doesn't seem trustworthy. Scam, in my opinion.
