Here they come.....

If one can sell for a high price, why not two? Of course this one cannot remotely compare with the first.

Figures...If it is all stock, the TRC should say Model 4000 on it and the flash is in the way. Too much money for what it is...

He really should take this thing out in the sunlight and take pictures. Black on black with a dark background doesn't make for good pictures.

...unless that is the seller's intent.

You are probably right, Ted. That finish looks awful rough, what you can see of it. Top of body worn down to the wood, back is really rough and the headstock just looks too rough to be a factory finish. He probably just saw what that fireglo went for and thinks he has a goldmine.
Is everybody ready?

Check this one out. I sent an email asking if it was still available and the price. No reply yet.

Yes, I know that bass well. It will set you back a bit over $5K Gary Dick has had if for over a year. He got it just about the time he sold me my '63. He is a very nice man and an honest dealer. You will pay but you get quality from Gary.

I love that 4000! I think it's a '65 isn't it?

Yes, the '65 4000 would justify a bigger price for what it is and when it was made, and it is a decent piece. The '79 4000LH went for $1100 and change on ebay, and that probably wasn't too bad a deal. For the record that is only one of these I have ever seen in a lefty in 25 years. I think we are seeing a bit of hype/ride-the-wave right now on 4000's....

It's nice to see an old 4000 that has not been converted to a 4001. They seem to be hot at the moment though...

Yikes is right! I don't get it. What are people thinking? There are many better Rics going for a lot less on Ebay right now. Maybe the 4000 model is becoming a hot commodity.

That recent FG was special. They are just not normally that pretty. I admit it. I was smitten.
