Don: Rumor has it that another 1963 360-12WB guitar that was manufactured in the same time frame as George's, was "borrowed" and blue printed. Of course, the many high quality photos of George's original guitar are pretty incredible too, and certainly would be a great starting point.

The '63 belongs to Naoki Ogane and has been in use at the factory as a sample for some months now. Just like my '58, it has no parts on it, so it's pretty easy for us to see all the construction details and scan these.

For those interested in the process, this site has some interesting case studies:

Laser Scanning

This is not the firm we use, but the concept is the same. For about a $300,000 investment, we could do this in-house . . .
