360 V64 Dual output jacks question

Post by robbie_loud »

Hi all!
I have just bought a 360 V64 and it has dual output jacks, however it is NOT marked "RickoSound".

I have done some research on this and I have read that it is:
1. a set of dual MONO outputs and
2. a set of "true stereo" outputs.

As I don't have two amps with which to check it, I thought I would ask the experts.

Also I am looking for some promotional material on this model if anyone has a web page or paper material (brochures etc.)to sell.

Thanks!!

Hey. This V64 ebay auction description (apparently a guitar that's also posted in the for sale section here) indicates that the output is dual mono:

I had a 360V64 and I always wondered about that - I never ran two amps, but I'd guess it's dual mono, it never mattered which jack I used.

The 325C64 and the 4001C64 are both mono and I guess a single jack. Maybe you could write Rickenbacker for more info.

Take off the pickguard and look at the wiring.

If my memory serves me right, the 360v64 is a dual mono, the same as my 360/12 CW.

They were dual mono, like George's, but a few got out and a few were modified by owners that have ROS stereo.

Thanks for the clarification guys. I don't currently have a ROS kit so I've not worried about the two jacks just yet -I'll drag out my back up amp tonight and make some experiments! Anyone have any interesting dual mono experiances to share?

If you plug a standard cord into a Ric-O-Sound jack you will only get one pickup.

John, Thanks for that info. I did not realize the ROS on these models was rare. I have an '87 CO9526 that has the ROS option. When you say a few got out, how rare are we talking?
