I love my 4004C. It very light and the action it excellent. The finish is actually user servicable. When it wears a bit, just wipe on a little tung oil and it looks new again.

I have wondered for ages why any famous bassist hasnt used one, they all seem to stick to their Fender Precisions! Ive actually been willing for that to happen but as yet nothing or no one. I know Chris Squire looked and tried one at one of the Namm shows, Im sure youve all seen the photos, but I dont think he bought it.

With out a doubt the 4004 series must be the most underrated bass in existance!

I agree, we need to see someone famous use it and then it may take off. Wait!!! Isn't Lemmy a famous bassist? The LK in reality is just a Cii with some extra dressing on it.

True, but how many take Lemmy, his bass playing or his bass guitars seriously, none outside of the Ricky field!

The nice thing about the 4004 is there is nothing in the way on top you can play anywhere from the bridge to the the neck.it is very underrated .it has a funny feel to the neck to fat or wide i cant remember nothing that cant be gotten used too fairly quick,4004cii will be my next bass.I think the 4004 is very underrated because you don't see them often they do not saturate the market like fender's,go try to find one they are made to order.order one and you will be 95-100 year's old before you get it you wont even know what it is by then.[what the hell's this and where did it come from]
