4005

Tonic for taking your mind off expensive 4005's - last night I arrived at a gig to find the place by day was a pole dancing club! No one paid a blind bit of notice to my 4005 as these stark naked girls wandered around asking us for tips...and I thought Rickenbackers were ALWAYS the centre of attention....
John - Yes it was a mapleglo WB, but I think I remember it specifically being a late '66. Traded it before becoming a forum member (stupid) to raise capital on a mint '58 P-bass, which I later decided I hated the neck profile (too round). Sold that. Have been trying to buy the 4005 back and the dealer won't sell it to me, so I come away with that experience as a loser.
Leprosy is rare & scarce but nobody wants that!
Jeff & Warren - He is trying to sell it for a fortune. I know that. Chris already tried to buy it when he was looking and he was quoted a phenominal number. I think, on one hand, he dosen't want to reveal how much higher he is trying to sell the bass to a guy he bought it from, so he has told me twice that he is keeping it for his collection, which he's not -- he's waiting for a pineapple. In this case, I'd be listening and possibly be willing.
Warren - if you'd like to call him and inquire about it, I'd be curious what he's shooting for. On top of that he just acquired a very early left-handed one that he was talking about in the 10-15K.
