Gits indeed Mark.

This whole scamming lark and fraud in general is massive now, and I don't doubt the internet in spite of being a wonderful thing is helping these fraudsters no end.....you just have to be so cautious these days.

My wife had her bank card details stolen a couple of weeks ago somewhere...either from the net or maybe even an assistant in a retail store noted the details down and they've had a spend up using the card over the phone and ordering stuff on the internet...they even went so far as to take out two Sky subscriptions!

Thankfully it's all being dealt with by the bank and the cards have been cancelled and some transactions were intercepted and most of the money has been reimburssed by the bank and the rest will be shortly....whether they trace the culprits is another matter, though surely they can trace the adresses for the Sky subsciptions.

To top things off I had my bicycle stolen today in spite of being locked to cycle stand with a fairly heavy duty D-lock......no chance of getting that back I know....I'm keeping a firm eye on my Rics that's for sureImage

I emailed him back and told him he should probably think twice about doing this again because once you guys lock on, you don't let up until see you see the auction hit the deck in a firey explosion with no survivors.

Too bad. It looked like a nice bass.

Nice job, guys!! Besides being entertaining and very educational about Rickenbackers, we can add "fraud prevention" to the benefits of this Forum. Good job.

I agree with Peter Levett, you guys on the other side of the pond may feel we British are very reserved and 'polite', But I only use "Hello Sir" with the VAT inspector..!

It's good that we are all looking out for each other here.

Don't worry Bob, I've never felt that way about the British. Afterall you guys were pretty rude fellas around 1776. Not to mention your behavior in 1812. We won't even talk about Ireland Image
