Jared-not for a while!

My GAS is cured for now...next major piece will be another speaker cabinet (and get my old Carvin 300 W head fixed up a bit) so both my son and I have decent amps on the rare days our playing shedules conflict.
Now, if Dustin wants to save his $, I'd advise him that a 4004 is a good aim.
Mark-no doubt about the power. I was running the final output volume on my amp at about 3/10, and had the volume cut way back last night. Granted, it was only against a single guitar, but he was using my 120 Peavey Triumph, and for a while it had the master set at 5. As I understand these are same PU's that are on my Dakota...and that axe never lacked any power.
Looking through the care guide that came with the Laredo I see that the strings are 40-95's...no wonder they feel like toys. I'm used to 50-100's...except for the E, all the strings are 0.010 smaller than the bridge cables I usually use. I think for the time being I'll stay with this guage and rounds...why mess with a good thing?
