I jumped on it too ... just a little too late ... if you put in replacement saddles you can widen the spacing to 2 1/4" that makes it more finger friendly ... these are great pick basses for tone and playing ... the late 90's ones have a slightly less massive body which makes them not quite as thick sounding ... I had a 98 and the bridge pickup was very growly and dirty sounding ...
