Here's My Pride and Joy

Post by 36012c63 »

This is my 2003 360/12 with a few mods done to it.
1. .0047 cap in the circuit
2. Trapeze tailpiece
3. Toaster pickups
4. Pickguardian Signature Edition pickguard with my name(of course). Limited run of 1 of these guitars
5. Matching gold nameplate
6. Nut cut for wider string spacing
7. 12 string bridge cut so all strings are even in height with each other. I get more octave string sound with this.
8. Vintage black knobs
9. Running through a JangleBox compressor

She's a beauty to look at and sounds heavenly.

Luscious. Love those gold pickguards!

The limited edition thing is a hoot!

I love it! Do you think you can get a pickguard with 'Guitar Dud' on it? That'd be me!

If you visit the Pickguardian website, you'll see that you can have anything done-up. Tony is a great guy to work with.

All right. I've been wondering how a new-style 360 would look with a trapeze tailpiece. Do you happen to have a frontal shot of the whole guitar?

I've also got a question about the strings. You said that "all strings are even in height with each other." Do you mean the tops of the strings are even, or the bottoms?
You want to put that where?

That is one really great looking guitar! Of course, my pickguard would have to say, "Gotta go practice my chop!"

Is that your actual signature? I would only do it if they can use MY signature. Image

Yes, Steve, that is my signature. And I will post a photo of the whole guitar as a frontal shot, as soon as I get one ready. Also, the strings are set level with each other, heightwise(as a pair). In general they all still follow the curvature of the neck. They are Rickenbacker strings and they're loaded in the manner of George Harrison's 12 string. Coming from both the top and bottom of the tailpiece.

After further thought, mine would have to be 'Please stop! You're hurting me!!'
