One word: NAFTA.
“I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did.”

Paul,

Does RS have the smaller 5th knob, too?

Allparts also sells the chrome-top knobs (pn PK 3246-023
for treble/bass tone knobs ($6); pn PK 3248-023
for treble/bass volume knobs ($6); no 5th knob that I know of) and the vintage knobs (pn PK 0174-023; $6 for 2 large and one small knob - you need two sets).
You want to put that where?

The present Ric knobs look just the ones on my Kustom amps.

Adam, I'll have to check. Seems like they did last time I looked.

Both the vintage-style and the newer spun-aluminum topped ones are in packages of four at about $2-3 per pack, if memory serves me correctly. The Vintage come in three sizes--the two used on Ricks and one larger one that's 1 1/8" in diameter.

Dan, the reason they are the same is because they are open stock with the manufacturer. Somewhere in the Third world there is a line of cookers with the Rick oven knobs, too, I'm sure.

The small 3/4" diameter aluminum-capped fifth knob is #274-415 and is $2.59 for a pack of four. The 1" knobs are #274-416 and are $3.29 for a four-pack.

Although I saw three sizes of "vintage" knobs the last time I was there, they show only the largest (too big for a Rick) in their catalog.
