75th Anniversary Bass

Post by henny »

White on White, standard, trusty 4003.

Except, 75th Anniversary Star inlays... and "RIC75" logo on scratchplate - 4001CS-style.

.... 75 to be produced! Image

... thoughts?

I thought it up... constructed the photo, logo, build idea - everything you see.

Good you figured it was real! Image

Just a design idea, really.

You don't know how much I was ready to jump on that! I looked on Rickenbacker's site and then called Rickenbacker to find out about it! I was all set to put a deposit on one.

Hmmmmm... me like-ee!

But, since the theme for 75th anniversaries is diamonds... how about diamond shaped inlays? And to make this "special edition" just that much more special, how about some kind of "bling" to the white finish itself? You know... some kind of pearlessence or sparkliness to the finish to match that "diamond" theme?

How about a 4001v68 with walnut headwings, full width inlays, and checkered binding ...

The v68 is another one I'd like to see. I may as well add John Hall's name to my bank account if he comes out with all these basses we're wishing for.
