Geddy Lee my favorite Gedi knight always uses round wound strings ...

Hey they were playing here in New Brunswick just last week I am sure. Certainly the weather conditions are right for this time of year. Looks like they have enough office space.

Here's a link to my web site and 6 of the 7 sound bytes there I am using a bass pod ... they are recorded with 5 different Ric basses all using round wound strings ... some are recorded analog, and some digital ... none are "professional" recordings ... the basses used are a 1968 4001, a 1973 4001, a 1990 4003s5, a 1993 4004L5, and a 1998 2020-5 ...
