It's a shame to see any Rick vandalised like that one- I'm sure you will bring it back to life.

Look, at least it wont have the .0047 bass cut cap in it, right?

I could care less what they look like as long as they sound good.

Dave, yeah, well at least I was the vandal! I have all the original parts, except the toaster, which I gave to a friend of mine a while back... not sure what i was thinking! It hasn't had the cap in it for a long time! Besides the Gibson pickup, I had a Hi-A (Bart) in the treble position.

You see it with the original pickguard, which has that big honking hole in it for a Gibson Sidewinder, but it had a custom made pearl pickguard on it, that was much bigger than the stock one, and covered over where the treble pickup goes too. The worst things I did, was rout for the EB-0 pickup, and fill in the small cavity under the bridge with maple.

Both things aren't too hard to fix. It was a Mapleglo, but I'll either leave it the color it is, or maybe make it a Jetglo!

When I finally get to doing the restoration, I'll chronicle it with photos and post them on the forum. Image

road worthy carpet covering.
Fuzzy cabinet material.

I now prefer the term "Rat Fur" coined by one of the local youngsters.

You guys have so much power. I tried to keep up, but I can't... So I've given up bass and switched to something that moves less air. At least now I can be heard...
