As I play catch-up with events on the forum, again. Damn. I wish I could make this for a myriad of reasons, but alas I have to be in Seattle that weekend, preparing to cruise Alaska. Travel arrangements compliments of my better half. But it sure sounds like quite the soiree. To all those who get to go, enjoy. I'd like to see pictures but it would just pi-- me off when I do, but take them anyway and post.

Let me make it clear that we have not yet officially announced this event. So many people here were pressing for dates to make advance reservations that we chose to allow Gary Clauson to announce those to you as far as the confluence portion. But there are still portions in the planning stages depending on some tricky scheduling and have not yet, therefore, been completely nailed down.
Along that line, you should be advised that we may move the "really big event" to Sunday afternoon, August 27th, still leaving a "big event" on Saturday evening as well. This may affect some folks flight scheduling but should have no effect on hotel bookings, given the August 10th cutoff for that.
Only when the exact details are known, sometime next week, will the official "cast-in-concrete" announcement be made on our site.
