Zackly. And the same trailer trash "culture" presides...

They don't build bikes anyway, they just bolt stuff onto frames they buy. They don't even build their own engines nor do they do their own paint. Craftsmen they aren't.

PS: Is that show still on? I watched it a few times a year+ ago and was appalled at the attitudes and the workmanship.
Listen to that sustain!

No, Vinny's the Mexican fellow that was shaping the back of the necks in a picture that PW posted on the "NECKS" thread.

The guy in this picture is our resident luthier, Richard, and he has become quite skilled at carving (and repairing) the Lemmy basses.

Great photo of Richard. It looks like five, count them 5, Lemmy's on the table. Ben, are you able to comment on when that photo was taken?
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

That photo is quite recent, maybe the So. Cal. Confluence time. Anyway, he's working on the very last ones now and I understand that next week sometime will be the end of the era for Lemmy production.

Then he starts the task of fully ramping up the acoustic department.

Peter - I found that picture in an on-line album posted by forumite Eric Kutzler of a RIC factory tour that took place at the So-Cal confluence in September.

I received my Lemmy a few weeks ago - it's the one in the foreground of the picture. Image

I don't think Rickenbacker's ever built a guitar that 'cornered' poorly...not to mention a decided eschewing of 'ape-hangers'...

Gimme the stringed equivalent of my 'Guzzi anyday...
I didn't get where I am today by being on time...

Did you guys hear that???

"Fully ramping up the acoustic department"!!!

You know what that means, folks?

There's something to be thankful for!

Melissa, your FG (Comstock?) has the most beautiful headstock I've ever seen on an acoustic.

Could we see another picture?

Melissa: In the words of Kylie Minogue, "You Did It Again". The quality of all the pics you post here is great. Are you, Paul and Jeff Scott in cahoots?

Don't suppose there'll be any acoustics lying around for sale when I'm over there......

I'll let you in on a little secret, Aitch.... Most of the time, I'm not the photographer--the honors go to my dear husband! However, his best work is reserved for the pictures on our business site, www.ancientimports.com. That's where his true passion lies.

"Then he starts the task of fully ramping up the acoustic department."

Does this mean I can place my order for a left-handed 730?
